Sony Ericsson S500i

I’ve been targeting for this phone ever since it’s up on the SE website. Though I was initially looking at K810i, I eventually chose this S-series model over the cyber-shot phone for the following reasons:

• Sliding (preferred over normal candy-bar design)
• Slim (14mm)
• Sleek/Classy design
• Cool light effects

P/S: K-series > “Kamera”; S-series > “Sliding/Swivel”

Finally I bought this elegant gadget on 28 July 2007 when I upgraded my mobile, broadband and fixed line subscription plan to the SingTel mio Plan (an attempt to cut down my overall monthly cost).

Well, the box package is quite standard. It includes: Sony Ericsson S500i phone, charger, stereo hands-free kit, USB data cable, software CD, user manual & warranty card

And as compared to my previous phone, Nokia 6020, SE S500i is considerably slimmer but wider.

As mentioned above, the lighting effects of this phone are really great, especially at night or in dark places. The flashing calling lights can really spice up your day as it makes this phone looks like a hand-held black x-box with techno lights.

In summary, the pros and cons of this phone are as follows:
