I believe many would have this question popped up in their heads every now and then, be it believers or not; “Does God loves me?”. This is often amplified in trying times, where our faith is stretched.
Sure enough we should press on and believe God will lead us through, easier said then done. The devil is good at tempting us, prying into minds and expanding our doubts on God’s promises in our lifes. One of the questions would be, whether we believers are really seeking just a meer experience that God is around, or are we seeking after Him?
Knowing God’s nature that He is omipresent, we already have the assurance that God is always near us. However, if one is bothered at how God shows His grace and glory to others, e.g. Someone who has been miraculously healed from a terminal illness and compares it to his/her own experiences, he/she is surely making a wrong judgement on how God works. For God is a creative God, he has made us all uniquely, be it in terms of race, size, praise & worship styles as well as how He reveals Himself to us. Different as we may be, but one thing lies the same that is: God is constant, He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow!
The “Policy of Radical Honesty” in the relationship series is also applicable in our relationship with God, especially in times of doubt! Honesty and openess with God is important, even great men of God such as Job and King David had their share of pouring their complains to God. However, we should not simply stop there! Having whatever faith we have left as our spiritual fuel and meditating on His Word, we are reinforcing and topping up our faith tank.
Therefore, no matter in what languages, ways we praise and worship God, do not just seek the experience (feeling), but really His heart. For it is faith and not feeling that pleases God.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” ~ Matt 6:33 (NKJV)
Amen.
